Leah Penniman is a Black Kreyol farmer, educator, and food sovereignty activist, as well as the co-founder of Soul Fire Farm in Grafton, New York. She is the author of Farming While Black, and her work focuses on land justice, reparations, and reconnecting Black and Indigenous communities with agricultural traditions.
